Samantha Scheib is a visual artist and graduate from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Samantha considers herself a Creative Technologist because she strives to incorporate technology in her work. She spent her time in college trying to learn as many programs and use as many of the accessible fabrication machines as possible. Samantha sees these tools an integral part of the future of art and making and wants to explore them to the fullest. Her main interests are lighting, furniture, and fashion and the work she creates varies from sculptures, light fixtures, and fashion accessories. These interests culminate into the experimentation of materials that are considered uncommon for a specific media to create work. This experimentation and the problem solving that coincides with incorporating technology are crucial parts of Samantha's practice.
